The guitar is such a fantastic instrument for girls and boys and men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes. There is such a wide variety of guitars available including guitars made for girls, guitars made for kids, guitars designed especially for beginners and bass guitars. All of these come in many shapes and sizes and colours including sparkling pink guitars! The list goes on and on and on!
One of the most frustrating things about guitars is that although there is a great many to choose from, a lot of these are biased towards right handed guitar players. There are some amazing left handed musicians to whome we will be eternally endebted to for the contributions they made to the electric guitar. Here we take a look at the excellent Left-Handed Squier Stratocaster
The first thing we notice about the guitar is its classic Fender Stratocaster shape. It is totally timeless and although it has been around fornearly 60 years it is still beautifully contemporary.
The 60′s style large headstock and black silkscreen logo are also great additions which add to the attention to detail that Fender is famous for.
The white plastic parts of the guitar such as the knobs and the pickguard will look great when they start to age and go a slighlty darker colour after a few years of playing. This will only add to its mojo and make it look like you’ve been playing it forever, which in turn adds to your seasoned guitar veteran image. You want your guitar to look like you enjoy playing it all day every day and not like it’s been sitting in its case forever.
The classic Sunburst colour of the Left-Handed Squier Stratocaster is simple yet beautiful and in addition with the Rosewood neck you’re getting an instrument that looks just as good as one of its more expensive Fender cousins.
The C shape profile of the neck fits comfortably and naturally in your hands allowing you to play the guitar with ease and comfort and the maple backing is incredibly smooth which allows for fast and uninhibited chord changes and effortless soloing.
Even if you’re right handed and you want to turn this guitar upside down and re-string like Hendrix famously did then this is one great guitar to do it with.
